By Akanji Alowolodu, Bauchi

Barely 24 hours after Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council including SSG, CoS and 8 other Special Advisers, reasons have emerged that led to the decision.
A source closed to the Government House told our Correspondent that, the Governor had to take the decision in order to allow more grounded politicians to come in to join this administration ahead of the 2023 politics in the state.
The source added that the dissolved cabinet was made up of not too grounded politicians saying that most of them are greenhorns in politics a situation he opined may not be too good for the Governor’s aspirations in 2023.
He added that more political bigwigs led by a former Governor whose name he refused to mention will soon join the PDP with several of his supporters in order to bolster the aspirations of the Governor come 2923 adding also that if not all, majority of the members of the State House of Assembly will defect to the PDP in not too long future.
On the reconstitution of the SEC, he said that only a few of the former Commissioners and Advisers will make it back because according to him, most of them performed below expectations when they lasted stressing that the Governor does not tolerate indolence and lukewarm attitudes.
Speaking further, the source said that one out of the two former SSGs in the person of Muhammad Nadada Umar or Ahmed Dandija will stage a come back as the next SSG in order to balance the political leadership of the state stressing that the Central Senatorial District was not properly represented in the administration apart from the office of the State Chairman of the PDP.
He added that, with the insistence of the North Senatorial zone of the state in producing the next Governor if a new state of Katagum was not carved out of Bauchi State, it is only expedient on the Governor to hold on to the Central district for votes in 2023 if he must achieve his reelection bid.
When contacted for his opinion on the development, Caretaker Chairman of the APC, Uba Ahmed Nana did not pick his phone neither did he reply the sms sent to his number but the PRO, Adamu Jalla in  a telephone interview said that the Governor had reasons for the dissolution of the cabinet.
Adamu Jalla said that, “may be the former Commissioners were not giving him the expected results or they were too slow for him to work with. Whatever, it is his right to choose people who are to work with him. As opposition, I will not say more than that”.
On the insinuation of defection by some of the members of the APC, the PRO said that people are free to move to any political party of their choice because according to him, politics is all about interest saying, “may be they have not achieved their political aim in the APC and want to go elsewhere to try their luck”.
Adamu Jalla while reacting to the insinuation of a former Governor of the state moving to the PDP, he said that, “I am not aware of that, but if it happens, good luck to him and his supporters. We are going on to reposition that party to become more stronger than how it  was before he 2019 general elections’.
In its reaction to the development, Bauchi State PDP welcome the dissolution of the cabinet because it  will afford the Governor the opportunity to reflect on the journey so far to enable him make necessary decisions that will be useful for him to achieve his goals.
Speaking for the PDP, the Publicity Secretary, Yayanuwa Zainabari said that, “when you have many people, there are bound to be different outcomes, negative and positive, some will be fast while others will be slow. As a party, we welcome what the Governor has done”.
On the rumour defection of a former Governor to the PDP from APC, Yayanuwa Zainabari said that, ‘the PDP umbrella is large enough to accommodate every one, we are always happy to receive people in to the party not to talk of a former Governor. We will be glad to receive him and his supporters “.
