In what can be taken as confirmation of the infiltration of bandits into Bauchi State as declared by the Nigerian Army recently, there have been increased in banditry leading to deaths across the state.
It will be recalled that yet to be apprehended bandits killed 3 people injuring others when they stormed Yadagungunme village in Ningi LGA of the state just as another person was killed in Burra on Wednesday.
Reports have it that the gunmen killed their victim by shooting him at Agwarmaje settlement around Burra in Ningi LGA.
It was reported that victim was attacked and killed at about 11.30pm on Wednesday on his way back to the village on motorcycle after he was said to have come back from a journey to Bauchi.
Two of them were said to be riding the motorcycle but the dead victim was the only one killed while the other person was shot but did not die.
The gunmen snatched the motorcycle and sped off to another settlement, Yan Musussuka where they snatched another motorcycle and went away with it.
Bauchi State Police Command could not confirm the latest attack as of the time of filing this report but the PPRO, SP Ahmed Wakili promised to get back as soon as he gets report from the concerned Division in Burra.
