The Associate Priest of Saint Dominic Catholic Church, Birnin Kebbi under the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Rev. Father David Nwafor, has called on the Christian community to demonstrate love and sacrifices to one another irrespective of religion by giving out what they have to the poor at all times.

Father Nwafor stressed the importance of assisting neighbours, noting that those who gave out little of what they have God will also provide more for them because such gesture would promote peace and love amongst people irrespective of religious affiliation.

He called for peaceful coexistence in the country, urging Christian faithful to use this period of christmas festivities to pray for the country to get out this trying times of high cost of living and unneccessary shedding of the blood of innocent souls.

The Catholic Priest used the medium to call on leaders especially politicians to make proper use of the nation’s resources to bring about developments in every aspect of the society in order to end the youths engagements in crimes that hindered the growth of the country.

“If our leaders are being fair and just to the people they are governing, issues of insecurity and other social vices wouldn’t have been reoccurring in the country,” Father Nwanfor stressed.
