Confusion as Jankada of Sansani Chiefdom in Taraba Abdulmutalib Nuhu brutally murdered

Jankada the Second of Sansani Chiefdom in Gassol Local Government Taraba State Abdulmutallib Nuhu Muhammad Bello has been brutally murdered by unknown gunmen at his Guest House at 9:00 pm on Thursday night.

The killers sneaked into the the Guest House at the outskirts of the town after knowing fully that the Chief was alone and shot him severally at close range on his forehead, chest, back and stomach which resulted to his instant death.

On hearing the gunshots the people nearby ran to different directions and before they regrouped the gunmen escaped before they arrived at the scene of the crime taking away his Android phone but abandoned over N40,000 cash in his pocket which made the people believed that they are assassins.

From 2012 when he ascended the throne, Bello was attacked three times, he was first kidnapped in 2016 along Jalingo-Wukari highway, attacked by killers while returning from Gwiwan kogi where he and his Council Members went to broker peace between some ethnic groups and his Car which he was driving himself was shatterred with bullets but fortunately no one was wounded and now where they succeeded in brutally murdering him.

Since he assumed office, the monarch did not know peace upto his death he was battling with both internal and external problems, he was suspended from office for six months following a petition by those who did not want to see him in that position and reinstated after a thorough investigation by the former Governor Architect Darius Ishaku which exonerated and vindicated him from the petition.

Bello who was the eighth Chief of Sansani succeeded his late father Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Bello in 2012 and elevated as a Third Class Chief in 2018 following the upgrading of Sansani District to a Third Class Chiefdom by former Governor Ishaku.
