The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Yobe State. Hon. Mohammed Gadaka, has said that, despite Muslim-Muslim ticket northeast region will vote for All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general elections.
Speaking with journalists in Damaturu, he started that, the challenges facing Nigerians transcend division along religious and ethnic lines, adding that there was a need for the country to have people who know their onions at the helms of affairs.
According to him, All Progressives Congress (APC) stands a better chance to win the 2023 election despite the controversy surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket, politics is all about understanding.
Gadaka said “Lets us understand how do we move ourselves to the prosperity that is imminent for this country and who is the best person to that Nigeria need at this time, despite religious matter.
“I want to also say that Yobe, Borno is totally in support of our brother, His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, we have worked together, we are brothers and we are friends,” he said.
He lamented that, Asiwaju is the best person to move the country, because I
believe he has the capacity, tenacity and I think sometimes we need to test some hypotheses and the opportunity to test these hypotheses is there.
Gadaka also debunked speculation that there was cold war between Norheast Christian and Muslims describing it as malicious and unfounded. We are one family, I will remember when Dogara was a speaker. He has done alot to his counstitutuncy without any religious, tribalism and political difference. He carrying everbody alot.
“My position about religion has been made known on different platforms and I think religion should leave public space and go back to where it belongs, to the homes and religious centres. I’m very sure Tinibu will carrying everyone alot.
“Let me tell you that. Politices is a game of luck. There’s too much religion in our public life and there is no nation that is valorising religion, we growth together, we live together, we are working together and we love one another. We should stop talking about religious.”
