Eagles New Boy, Ajayi: We’re Focused, Need Positive Result Vs Seychelles

Rotherham United defender, Semi Ajayi, says the Super Eagles cannot afford to lose to Seychelles in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture billed for the Stade Linte, Victoria, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Super Eagles are already trailing Libya and South Africa in Group E after going down to a 2-0 defeat against the Bafana Bafana in their first game of the qualifiers.
Failure to the beat their hosts may put paid to Gernot Rohr’s men’s ambition of making a return to the AFCON after their failure to qualify for the last two editions of the tournament.
And Ajayi, who will be looking forward to making his debut for the Super Eagles against the Pirates insists the team must be ready to give their all in the encounter.
‘It is an important game for us. We didn’t win the last game (against South Africa), and we need positive a result,” Ajayi stated in a short video posted on the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles.
“All we need to do now is to focus on the game and give our best. We need to be professional and listen the coach too.
“We also need the support of the fans which will be a good motivation and boost our confidence.” (Complete Sports)
