The Umudora Okpala Ukwu Anam community in Ezi-Anam ward in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State was recently filled with excitement as Hon. Peter Udogalaya Aniekwe, Member representing Anambra East/West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives commissioned standard new school building in the community.
The joy which was boldly written on their faces was demonstrated when the elderly men and women, youth and children came out en mass during the commissioning of the new school building constructed by Hon. Peter Udogalaya Aniekwe (MacPee Milinaliugwu of Omambala) within a year and some months of his election.
Speaking shortly after the commissioning, one of the eldest men, Ogbuevi Samson Ndubife, remarked that Hon. Aniekwe has done what no other representative in the past could do for them since he was born as a native of Umudora Anam, stating that people of Umudora Okpala Ukwu Anam would continue to throw their weighty support behind MacPee Milinaliugwu of Omambala as he is fondly called by Ndi Omambala in his future political endeavours.
In his speech while commissioning the project, Senator Tony Okechukwu Nwoye, the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District told Umudora Anam community that what they have seen was nothing to compare to what himself and MacPee have in mind to do for the people of Anambra North Senatorial zone/ Anambra East and West, urging them to remain prayerful and supportive to their vision.
Senator Nwoye congratulated Hon. Aniekwe for using, according to him, a qualified engineer for the execution of the project.
He pledged to renovate the old community primary school building in Umudora Anam.
In the same vein, The President General of Ezi-Anam ward, Chief Charles Igbanugo Okafor (Akuatuegwu) who spoke on behalf of Ezi-Anam ward expressed optimism that more democracy dividend from the legislator would come their wsy, saying that they supported Hon. Aniekwe because he has been a nice man, which everybody knows.
“By God’s grace I believe he will do more. People need to have it at the back of their minds that we have 25 wards in Anambra East and West Federal Constituency and Hon. Aniekwe must touch them all,” he said.
