Emir of Zuru rejoices with Kebbi Governor Idris on Eid-el-Kabir, suspect distraction attempts
The Emir of Zuru, Major-General Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo ll, has felicitated with Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir with strong advice to remain focused and resist possible attempts at distraction, aimed at diverting his attention from justifying the confidence reposed in him by the people.
This was contained in a statement by Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to Kebbi State Governor.
In an Eid-el-Kabir goodwill message to the Governor, General Sami noted with satisfaction the considerable number of families in the state that pleasantly celebrated the Sallah as a result of the Governor’s generosity and support.
He further explained that such a kind gesture, the first of its kind in the state in recent years, must be acknowledged, commended, and appreciated.
The Emir prayed for peace and unity in the state as well as continuous God’s guidance and blessings to for the Governor such that will further enable him sustain the noticeable rapid socio-economic development witnessed in the state within the last two years.
However, General Sami cautioned Comrade Governor Nasir to be aware of possible distraction plots by some desperate people aimed at making him deviate from his patriotic course of positive transformation of Kebbi state since they couldn’t so far, fault his administration’s developmental efforts.
He emphasised the need for the Governor to remain committed, focused, steadfast, and unshakeable in his determination to turn around the fortunes of Kebbi State.
General Sami was optimistic that ” the Almighty Allah whose guidance and protection made you a hero in governance will always be there for you.”
The royal father further stated that although the goodwill message was purely for congratulations on the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah, he must acknowledge with appreciation a number of critical projects benefited by the people of Zuru emirate under Comrade Nasir kauran Gwandu’s two years of the stewardship.
The Emir mentioned among others, the reconstruction of the notorious Koko-Zuru federal road, the establishment of a Mega secondary school, the reconstruction of some selected dilapidated primary and secondary schools in deplorable as well as construction of new additional ones.
The reduction of the armed banditry challenges, provision of agricultural development inputs, and regular distribution of palliatives were among other benefits to the people of Zuru emirate.
