FCT minister Wike, Industry, Trade minister Doris, captains of industry, diplomatic community to grace inauguration of Chief Obegolu as ACCI’s 12th President

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, are set to be prominent guests at the inauguration of Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, the 12th President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).

Also, top government and industry leaders as well as the diplomatic community are expected at the inauguration.

The event will also witness the installation of the Executive Council members and the Chairmen of the ACCI Trade Groups.

Scheduled for February 8th, the ACCI inauguration comes up every three years marking the smooth transition to the next administration of the Chamber’s leadership.

Chief Obegolu formally took office on December 14, 2023 after an election by the ACCI governing body.

He is presently leading the Organised Private Sector in the FCT, he is a Senior and Founding Partner of Greenfield Chambers, holding an LL.B from the Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Chief Obegolu is a distinguished Arbitrator and Mediator, holding fellowships from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).

His extensive experience includes acting as Sole Arbitrator, Presiding Arbitrator, and Counsel in commercial arbitrations, and as a Mediator in labour, commercial, family, and communal disputes.

The inauguration is anticipated to draw distinguished guests from various sectors, including government officials, the diplomatic community, community leaders, business owners, and residents.

The occasion is set to mark the official unveiling of the 12th President of ACCI, along with the Executive Council members, Trade Groups Chairmen, and the Centre’s Governing Council.

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry remains committed to playing a pivotal role in fostering the region’s economic growth, collaboration, and innovation.
