Federal government to increase number of beneficiaries of schools feeding programme – Yetunde Adeniji

The federal government has completed plans to increase beneficiaries of the schools feeding program.
Honourable Yetunde Adeniji, who is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Schools Feeding Program disclosed that the program plans to increase the number of the beneficiaries in subsequent phases.
She made the disclosure when she paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule.
According to her, “This expansion reflects the determination to ensure that an increasing number of children have access to nutritious meals, enhancing their overall well-being and educational outcomes.
“The collaboration between the two tiers of government symbolizes the efforts to prioritize the welfare and education of Nigeria’s children.” She said.
Honourable Yetunde Adeniji stressed that investing in programs like the schools feeding initiative is aimed at empowering the younger generation and laying the foundation for a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
The SSA to the President said that the impact of the schools feeding program extends beyond simply providing meals. It serves as a catalyst for positive change, breaking the cycle of poverty and enabling children to unleash their full potential.
In his remarks, Governor Abdullahi Sule acknowledged the expertise and capability of Yetunde Adeniji, recognizing her potential to bring about reforms that will greatly contribute to the effectiveness and impact of the schools feeding program.
He specifically highlighted the incorporation of Almajiri children as one of the new reforms in the program, to provide these vulnerable children with access to nutritious meals, ultimately helping them break away from the streets and have a chance at a better future through education.
Governor Sule expressed firm commitment and unwavering support from the Nasarawa State Government towards achieving the objectives of the program.
