A staff of the Registry Department, Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Ibrahim Hameed Majim, has been found burnt beyond recognition in his car at Unguwar Rogo, Toro Local Government Area in Bauchi State.
The polytechnic Public Relations Officer (PRO), Malam Rabiu Wada confirmed he was their worker.
Suicide is suspected, according to sources at Tashan Durumi, 30 kilometres from Bauchi, where the case was first reported Thursday evening.
However, news of the incident was public Saturday.
Sources told Apex News Majim had expressed frustration and told friends that he was tired of living.
According to the institution’s spokesman, late Majim had applied and was granted his one month annual leave only to be found dead in the car.
But the PRO denied his death to the refusal of the school to grant him an overseas scholarship.
Bauchi State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar said police is still investigating the incidence.
