Former Commissioner drums support for Kebbi Government’s developmental drive

A former Kebbi State Commissioner of Lands and Housing, Mahmuda Mohammed Warah has described the Governor Nasir Idris projects execution drive as unprecedented and worthy of commendation.

He made the statement while addressing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi stressing that in less than 100 days in office the Governor had sank over N25billion for the execution of people oriented projects.

Warah pointed out that “One of the scariest areas of project execution was road construction but soon as the Governor assumed office he awarded contact for the upgrade of the roads in the State capital and irrespective of political affiliations one can see that the town is taking the shape of modern cities.

“Since the Creation of Kebbi we were not lucky to have such dynamic leader like Governor Idris because of his style of leadership that is tailored towards establishing land mark achievements that would transform the socioeconomic wellbeing of the citizens,” the ex-Commissioner stressed.

Warah noted that for the Government to maintain its current pace of development, all stakeholders must rally round the Chief Executive and assist him with positive and innovative pieces of advice devoid of ethno religious undertone.

The former commissioner said as direct beneficiaries of Government projects masses should jealously guard amenities in thee areas for Authorities to provide more instead of using the little resources available in rehabilitating the damaged ones.
