Gombe government, commission for museums partner to establish cultural sustainability centre in Gombe

Gombe State Government has expressed readiness to Partner  the National Commission for Museum and Monuments to establish Cultural sustainability Centre in the State.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi made the disclosure when he received the Curator and officers of the Commission who paid him a Courtesy Call at the Government House on Monday. 
He also disclosed the State with thirty ethnic Nationalities and diverse Culture orientation will benefit from the partnership as it strives to preserve the State Cultural heritage.
Abubakar Njodi assured the Commission of the State Government’s Commitment to meeting some of its challenges especially the establishment of a Gallery of arts and  recovery of artefacts for the betterment of future generations.
The SSG further advised the Commission to articulate its demands for Government intervention stressing the needs for the Commission to explore all the State’s historic sites, to be able to harness the Culture and traditions of the People.
The State Curator of the National Commission for Museum and Monuments, Hassan Kasim had earlier presented the challenges of the Commission in the State to include lack of facility for its Gallery, inadequate office accommodation and the need for functional official Vehicle to enable it explore the rich Cultural heritage of the State.
Hassan Kasim express determination of the Commission to partner with the state government in order to promote cultural endowment of the state as well as expose them to the world to appreciate as contained in a statement by Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer, SSG’s Office.
