Gombe hands over land to NALDA for construction of modern vegetable market in Kwadon

Gombe State Government has handed over five hectres of land to the National Agriculture Land Development Authority, (NALDA) for the construction of a modern vegetable market in Kwadon Town of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area.
The project, which is aimed at improving agricultural value chain in Gombe State, will be executed in partnership with Gombe State Government.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Muhammad Magaji Gettado, accompanied by Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government, Shu’aibu Galadima presented the title documents on behalf of Gombe State Government to the Executive Secretary NALDA, who was represented by Gombe State Coordinator, Muhammad Bello Santuraki.
The Commissioner commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for doing everything necessary towards the actualisation of the project saying that, “His Excellency has given us every needed support to see that the project has seen the light of the day”.
In his remarks, Chairman, Yamaltu Deba Local Government Council, Shu’aibu Galadima commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for bringing such a great development to his people.
The Chairman confirmed that all the people whose farmlands were affected by the project have been fully compensated saying that the compensation was to the tune of N45, 500, 000.
The District Head of Kwadon, applauded Governor Yahaya’s developmental policies and programmes, particularly his rural transformation drive.
He then assured that his people will continue to support the government in its determination to bring development to the grassroots.
