Governor Idris set for rating by colleagues as Kebbi hosts APC governors

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, is set to host the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum meeting and prepared to share his experience and showcase his modest achievements for the assessment and rating by his colleagues.
The meeting aims to discuss national and party-related issues, focusing on security, development, and poverty reduction.
Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris will host the meeting, showcasing his administration’s achievements in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and security.
Key topics include national development, security challenges, and poverty reduction strategies.
Governor Idris has made necessary arrangements to ensure a successful event, with stakeholders urging residents to support the state’s hosting efforts.
The meeting is expected to produce a communique outlining key resolutions and recommendations for the party and the government.
It will bring together governors from APC-controlled states, senior officials, and policy advisers to discuss critical issues affecting the nation and the party.
Governor Nasir, who is serving his first term tenure, has been acknowledged to have performed creditably well in all sectors of development within two by the people of the state, Non-Governmental organisations, and development partners.
Already, a number of capital intensive and critical projects in different parts of the state have been earmarked for visitation by the visiting governors.
However, in view of the time constraints and distance of the project locations, a few have been selected in Birnin Kebbi and Argungu for the visit.
Among the landmark projects to be visited include the ultra modern Secretariat complex with state of art facilities, the expansion, dualisation, and the beatification of the major streets in the state capital, the constructed ultra modern motor park one of the best in the country, and an comprehensive vertinery Hospital of international standard.
Others included are the comprehensive Mega secondary school in Birnin Kebbi, which has been replicated in Argungu, Yauri, and Zuru, some rehabilitated and upgraded schools and hospitals.
The Argungu upgraded and fully equipped hospitals with similar ones being constructed in Yauri, Zuru, and selected major towns across the state.
Governor Nasir Idris is also expected to share his vision of declaring free education at all levels for the state indigenes studying at home and abroad as well as the impacts of his policy of providing free fertiliser and farming inputs for all year-round farming to farmers in the state.
Also expected to be discussed during the meeting is Governor Nasir wisdom of complementing the federal government’s efforts in tackling the security challenges with the provision of 100 Hillux vehicles and five thousand motorcycles to the security agencies in the state which impact was being noticed.
At a press conference to inform the public about the APC Governors forum meeting, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barrister Attahiru Maccido explained that all necessary and adequate preparations for the successful hosting of the meeting scheduled to hold from Thursday have been concluded.
