Governorship 2023: I’ll give Southern Kaduna fair share of political appointments – Sani Sha’aban

A gubernatorial aspirant in Kaduna State, under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mahmud Sani Sha’aban promised to give Southern Kaduna a fair share of political appointments both in the state and at the federal level if given the mandate in the up coming 2023 general election.
Alhaji Sha’aban stated this in Kafanchan while inaugurating his Zonal and Local Governments Campaign Coordinators and officials in Zone 3, where he appealed to the people of the political zone to throw their weight behind him to enable him clinch the seat.
This is coming four days after the state Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufa’i has anointed Senator Uba Sani of Kaduna Central as his successor.
Sha’aban lamented that the area had been relegated to the background in terms of the political appointments in the present arrangement in the state and assured that he would reverse the trend when elected.
The aspirant also said if elected governor of the state, he would give adequate attention to the security of lives and property to guarantee the free flow of legitimate activities.
While saying that the race requires God’s special intervention, Alhaji Shaaban charged the newly inaugurated Coordinators to live up to expectations and also hold firmly to the trust to ensure success.
Earlier, the Director General of Sha’aban’s campaign team, Mr Joshua Danladi Ephraim told the people of Southern Kaduna to take into consideration Alhaji Shaban’s love and concern for the state in determining their choice of who becomes the next governor.
Mr Ephraim who regretted that the people of the state are completely divided said Alhaji Mahmud Sani Sha’aban would restore the desired unity and peace to the state if given the opportunity to steer affairs.
In his contribution, a stalwart of the APC in Southern Kaduna, Professor Katukah Yaki said he believes in a Muslim/Christian ticket to give all manner of people a sense of belonging as against what is obtainable in the present administration of the state.
Professor Yaki who called on the people rally round Alhaji Sha’aban said electing him as governor will provide remedy to all the socioeconomic and political challenges bedevilling the state.
Similarly, the Zonal Chairman of APC, Zone 3, Mr Yakubu Yatai also lamented the lopsidedness of appointments in Kaduna state, saying electing Alhaji Sha’aban as governor will correct the abnormalities perpetrated by the present administration of the state.
In his remark, the APC Chairman, Jema’a Local Government and the host, Alhaji Ibrahim Koli said the party will give a level playing ground for all aspirants, stressing that power comes from God.
