Against expectation in some quarters that a rerun APC primary for the House of Representatives purported at giving the incumbent member representing keffi,karu and Kokona, at the Federal house of representative, Jonathan Gaza Gbefwi,a clean slate ticket,it appears such expectation will end in futility.
This is because the said member representing keffi, karu,Kokona Federal constituency,has decided to patched camp with the Social Democratic Party,SDP asade available on social media ,by the federal legislators media handlers on Thursday.
Honourable Jonathan Gaza Gbefwi,had on 26/5/2022, announced his withdrawal from the APC primary for the house of representative,on the grounds of alteration in the authentic list of delegates for the election.
The circumstances which led to the delay of the exercise untill the n xt day,saw to the election of chief Koro Auta ,as the only candidate for the primary election.
However ,a week after news saturated the constituency that the APC was planning to create a chance for the rerun of the primary, purposely to have Honourable Gaza get the ticket instead of chief Koro,who was earlier declared as winner and flag bearer of the APC for keffi,karu and Kokona federal constituency.
But on Thursday, Ndopka Ego,a media aide to the house of representative member,in a post on Facebook, said, Gbefwi Jonathan Gaza of Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency has defected to the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) to seek reelection in the 2023 general elections.
The post revealed that “He joined the opposition party from the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) over widespread irregularities that marred its primary election which produced Chief Auta Koro as candidate for the House of Representatives race.
Apex News Exclusive report that as at the time of filing this report ,no official statement has been made by either the APC or Honourable Jonathan Gaza,to whether there will be any rerun primary in his favour or his defection to the SDP as made available by the media aide.
