How over 20 widows received financial assistance through US-based Christian foundation

More than twenty widows in Akwa Ibom State have cause to smile when they received an unexpected financial assistance to start-up businesses to fend for themselves.
The assistance came from a US-based couple who preferred to remain anonymous for now through Ambassadors Foundation in United States of America.
The Widow Empowerment ceremony took place at New Vision Nigeria in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital, supervised by Evangelist Tiebet Jacob who is the presiding pastor and President of New Vision Ministries in Africa.
The Founder and President of Ambassadors Foundation under the Christ Ambassadors Ministries International in Jonesboro, Arkansas, United States, Bishop Aniefiok Jacob said the foundation has been silently taking care for widows in Africa for over five years now.

Bishop Jacob who spoke to the widows on phone from his base in United States while the ceremony was ongoing said he understand the pains and suffering of the widows more than anyone else.
According to him, it is their duty for the ministry’s foundation to assist widows in Africa within its limited resources.
He explained that his mother is a widow who raised eight children without any dependable assistance and saw her cried, suffer and involved in a stressful legal trade so that they can eat and go to school.
Bishop Jacob also said that the Christian couple who donated the money strongly believe on Ambassadors Foundation and have compassion for the well-being of the widows to helped for the empowerment programme.
The next phase of the empowerment will be announced soon.
