Hunters in North East express concern over increasing criminalities across Taraba

Commander of Hunters Association of Nigeria Umar Umar has expressed concerned over the increasing rate of criminalities across Taraba State.

The Commander stated this when he visited the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at the Press Centre, Jalingo.

Umar Umar popularly known as ‘Babangida Commander’ an indigene of Karim Lamido Local Government of Taraba State who said they were at the Press Centre to synergies with the NUJ pointed out that the Association was disturbed by the surging crimes in the state and expressed readiness to give a helping hand to stop the menace.

He said the recent operation of members of the Association with the Nigeria Army in some communities in Yorro Local Government have yielded tremendous positive results and reiterated the commitment of the Association to flush out the bandits terrorising the people of Taraba State.

Umar called on the media not to relent in keeping the public abreast of happenings in the society and publicising the activities of the Association to make the Public understand their functions.

He appreciated the commitment of Governor Agbu Kefas in ensuring that peace prevails across the nooks and crannies of the state and appealed to the State Government to construct office accommodation for the Association in Taraba state to enhance its operation.

Responding, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Taraba State Council, Mathew Eliud Jen pledged the support of Journalists in the State to the Association by giving it the needed publicity at all times

Jen commended the giant strides and resilience of the Association and other Security Agencies in the State for working tirelessly to protect lives and property of the people.

The Chairman called on Governor Agbu Kefas to support the Hunters Association to enable it rid the State of bad eggs.
