Illegal levy collection in Anambra will soon stop- Commissioner Madubuko

The Anambra State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce Dr. Christian Chukwuma Madubuko has vehemently stated that he will adopt another strategy to curb the excesses of touts and illegal levy collection in the State.
Commissioner Madubuko made the assertion while addressing journalists at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State during his thanksgiving ceremony.
Dr. Madubuko disclosed that perpetrators of illegal levy collection in Anambra State was seriously combated at the tail end of 2018, which according to him was declared inconclusive, explaining that in this 2019 he will device another means to get rid of fraudulent activities in the state.
“We are going to adopt another strategy, any person who found fraudulent in the market should be persecuted and jailed if found. We want things to be done as it is been done in overseas and Anambra State will be a reference point. Why our people are suffering is because things are not properly done as it supposes to be.
He however, revealed that his motive of thanksgiving was to appreciate God for all he has been doing in his life, just as he stated that he was not born in a rich family, adding that he survives his life through struggling. He donated the sum of N1, 000,000 for the building of parish house.
Earlier in his sermon at the mass to mark the occasion, Rev. Fr. Maurice Abasilim told the people of God to remain thanked to God for sending Jesus Christ to us through Blessed Virgin Mary, even as he commended Dr. Madubuko for his courage in organizing thanksgiving and advised him to continue trusting God.
In his remark, the parish priest of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Anaku Rev. Fr. Raphael Odike admired the simplicity of Dr. Madubuko explaining that the commissioner discharges his duty with sincerity and love of God. The cleric thanked him for his donation to the parish.
Equally speaking, the former transition committee chairman Ayamelum Barrister Anthony Ifeanya described the commissioner as an erudite scholar. He hinted that Dr. Madubuko is a hardworking commissioner who is capable in his duties.
Also, the youth leader of Anaku Community Chief Ekwedibia Chukwuemeka and Chief Odera Ogbaji who is the president general Igbo Community in Australia in their separate speeches averred that Dr. Madubuko is talented in his duty and as well as performing it diligently.
