Kebbi State Commissioner for Animal Health and Fisheries, Kabiru Usman Alaramma, says the Indonesian Government would soon provide technical aid for quality milk and beef production in the state.

While addressing a press conference in Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner revealed that the Indonesian Government had recently trained Veterinary Doctors on Artificial insemination and embryo transfer to actualise the set objective.

He further stated that the state would also receive an assistance of 500 out of the 1000 straws of semen for the country for improved cattle breeds, designed for the production of high quality beef and milk

The Commissioner sressed that to ensure quick realisation of the project “the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, his wife and a nine-man technical team would visit the state to facilitate demonstration for livestock farmers on Artificial Insemination.”

On its part, Alaramma said the Ministry had embarked on annual animal vaccination across the state in order to supply to the public healthy meat and milk, in addition to solving farmers-herders clashes for a peaceful and prosperous society.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Yakubu Birnin Kebbi, shrugged off negative criticisms from the opposition parties, saying the dividends from Governor Nasir Idris to Indonesia was an indicator that his visits to foreign countries were in the best interest of the state and the people.
