The Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Mr. Peter Tanko Dogara, has announced plans to renovate primary schools and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across the area.

Dogara, who disclosed this on Monday while hosting members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kafanchan Forum, said the move aims to enhance the functionality of the facilities.

He further revealed that the Council is considering converting the abandoned Gwong and Godogodo Development Area secretariats into JAMB and ICT training centres after renovations, a development he said would ease students’ access to computer-based examinations.

On empowerment, Dogara said 11 youths had been employed, while the Council has paid JAMB registration fees for 850 candidates.

He commended Governor Uba Sani for executing people-oriented projects in the area and assured that the Council remains committed to addressing the needs of residents.

Earlier, Chairman of the NUJ Kafanchan Forum, Mr. Ayina Reuben Kube, sought the Council’s cooperation in enhancing information dissemination for the development of the area.
