June 12: Adamawa Governor Fintiri restates commitment to democracy, improving citizen’s lives

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, restates his administration’s commitment to deepening democracy and improving the lives of citizens.

The Governor made this known in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwaashi Wunoskau.

The Governor urged all Adamawa residents to embrace peace, unity, and harmony, as the state celebrates this significant milestone.

Fintiri words, “I commend the resilience and determination of Nigerians in upholding democratic values and principles. May I also acknowledge the progress made in the past two decades and pledge my administration’s commitment to deepening democracy and improving the lives of citizens.

“As we mark this year’s Democracy Day, I acknowledge the hardships and challenges that many Nigerians still face, and I regret that our democracy has not yet yielded the desired dividends of comfort, security, and prosperity for all citizens.”

He urges residents of the State to sustain the hard learned peace the administration has built over the last five years, warning that anyone found wanting will face the full wrath of the Law.

Governor Fintiri prays for continued peace and prosperity in Adamawa State and Nigeria, as the nation marches forward in its democratic journey.

“As we celebrate our democracy, I reaffirm our administration’s commitment to providing the necessary infrastructure for sustainable development and ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. 

“We will continue to prioritize projects that improve the lives of our people and guarantee the protection of life and property, creating a prosperous and peaceful Adamawa State for all,” the Governor said.

Similarly, Fintiri also carried out a mini reshuffle of cabinet so as to optimised his administration performance.

The statement said the reshufflement affects only four Commissioners which include, Neido Geoffrey Kufulto who heads Ministry of Information is now swap to Commissioner for Ministry for Women Affairs.

While, Wumfe Anthony is moved to man Ministry of Transport, just as James Iliya was Commissioner for Entrepreneur is now to take over as Commissioner for Information on k like Hamajumba Gatugel is equally moved to take charge of Commissioner for Ministry of Entrepreneurship.

Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in his commissioners’ ability to deliver on their new responsibilities, saying, “This reshuffle is designed to maximize our team’s strengths and improve services to the people of Adamawa State.”

The Governor warned against sabotage and urged the commissioners to discharge their duties diligently. He also urged the affected commissioners to work together for a seamless transition with immediate effect and continue serving the state with dedication and commitment.
