Katsina State Sports Commissioner Aliyu Lawal Zakari Shargalle has banned all farming activities on the grounds of Isma’ila Isah Funtua Stadium.
He gave the directive during a familiarization visit of the Funtua and Malumfashi zonal sports councils.
The Commissioner noted that the order is being issued to halt all activities and allow the youths in the zone unfettered access to the facilities.
Shargalle stated that the current administration is determined to complete the stadium’s upgrade for the benefit of all athletic activities.
While in Malumfashi and Bakori, the Commissioner toured various portions of the Abubakar Labo Controller and Bakori Township Stadiums to assess the facility’s condition and determine how best to rehabilitate them.
He confirmed that the pavilion stand at the stadium would be rebuilt in the proper location, and that the fence wall would be repaired as needed.
