Kebbi Christians Association of Nigeria to celebrate Yuletide in abundance

By El-Yakub Dabai, Birnin Kebbi

President Bola Tinubu has extended hands of compassion to the Kebbi branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), as he delivered 1,200 bags of 50kg rice to Christian adherents for joyous Christmas under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State also supported the Association with 3,600 25kg bags of rice for the Yuletide.

Giving Glory to God while receiving the commodity in Birnin Kebbi, on Monday, the state CAN Chairman, Rt. Rev. Dr. Ayuba Kanta, was emphatic that Nigeria had recorded economic prosperity under the Tinubu administration while Gov. Idris had improved the quality of life of Kebbi people.

Represented by the branch Secretary, Hussaini Bara Bauta, the CAN leader, said the consignment would reach Christians in all parts of the 21 local government areas of the state to enjoy the celebration, including IDPs, widows, orphans, youth and women groups, elders, Boys Brigade as well as other beneficiaries.

“Christians never have it so good as now; the goodwill from President Tinubu is immeasurable while in Kebbi, our compassionate, benevolent Governor Idris has been gracious and magnanimous to the Christian community.

“Things are improving in Nigeria encompassing economic stability, security and welfare for the citizenry as a result of purposeful leadership by President Tinubu at the federal level and Governor Nasir Idris at state level.

“Nigeria is now a better place to live, May The Almighty God give them increased health, courage and wisdom to take the country to the most cherished greatness”, Kanta remarked.

The CAN Chairman used the occasion to admonish what he referred to, as ‘the little segment of the society breeding insecurity’ to desist and become Spiritually Rich above material consideration.

“Nigeria is a diversed multi-cultural society, we must collectively shun unwholesome attitude, sinful disposition and unlawful behaviour, but work as one and single united entity to salvage our nation.

“Those perpetuating insecurity amongst us should have a change of mind for peace and tranquility to prevail”, Kanta preached.
