Kebbi Governor Idris flags off distribution of agricultural inputs to 9,400 beneficiaries in Bagudo area

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has flagged off the distribution of agricultural inputs and economic materials provided by Bello Kaoje, Member House of Representatives, Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency, to 9,400 beneficiaries in Bagudo Local Government Area.
They comprised of irrigation pumps, grinding machines, fertilizers, herbicides, improved rice and maize seeds, motorcycles, sprayers, rice parboiling machines, as well as sewing machines for domestic and farm uses.
Performing the ceremony Tuesday, Governor Idris described Hon. Kaoje as a good representative of his people, noting that the people of Suru and Bagudo had repeatedly benefited from the lawmaker’s benevolence and urged the beneficiaries to use the items strictly for agricultural purposes.
“Farmers should use the implements and imputs to increase production through massive cultivation of the fertile land in Suru and Bagudo Local Government Areas.Whoever sells any of the items would be arrested together with the buyer to serve as deterent”, the governor said.
In a remark, Hon. Bello Kaoje expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for visiting the area for the fourth time.
State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru, appreciated the Governor’s visit, saying that it was also an opportunity to thank the people of Bagudo for their support to the administration that had indelible marks in the sands of history in the staye.
One of the beneficiaries, Malam Jabbi Gidado thanked the Governor for distributing the items,saying besides boosting their socioeconomic status they would as well ensure sustainable food security a realisable project in the state.
