Kebbi Governor Idris in the eyes of royal fathers

Comrade Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has strengthened ties with traditional rulers, recognizing their role in advancing socio-economic development.
He established a traditional rulers consultative forum to facilitate advisory and supervisory support for his administration’s infrastructural development and implementation of different socio-economic development programmes.

The Governor has assigned specific roles to traditional rulers, including review of developmental projects sited in their domains, impact analysis, and supervision to ensure compliance with specifications.
Their contributions have significantly contributed to the administration’s successes in all sectors of development.
In apparent appreciation for their support and the need for sustainability of the partnership in the development of the state, Governor Idris provided state-of-the-art official vehicles to the Emirs of Gwandu Argungu, Yauri and Zuru and approved palace overhauls, including redesigning and face-lifts for which the funds were directly released to the Emirs for payment to the contractors engaged by the Emirs after certification. The harmonious relationship and the impact on the well-being of the people were keenly being joyfully observed and commended by other traditional rulers, particularly from the northern axis.
The successful hosting of the 2024 edition of the National Annual Qur’anic Recitation competition in response to the request made by Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar, clearly demonstrated commitment to the promotion of Islamic religion and traditional institution.
Recently, Comrade Governor Nasir Idris invited the Northern Traditional Rulers Council for a conference, supported by a former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Abdulrahaman Danbazau and a former Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa ( now Minister of Defence) to provide a road map for finding lasting solutions to the unfortunate persistent armed banditry menace in the Sub-region.
It is undoubtedly against this background that prominent first-class traditional rulers in the north found Comrade Governor Nasir Idris, a leader worthy of honour and conferment of development related traditional titles
Comrade Governor Nasir’s efforts have earned him prestigious traditional titles, including Gwarzon Daular Usmaniya (Sokoto Sultanate), Kauran NUPE (Nupe Kingdom), Kauran Kanem Borno (Borno Empire), Kauran Gwandu, Jigon Kabi (Argungu emirate), Gamjin Yauri (Yauri emirate), and Garkuwan Zuru (Zuru emirate).
These titles reflect his selfless services to education, philanthropy, and community development, making him a symbol of exemplary leadership.
