Kebbi Governor Idris presents 2025 economic, infrastructural consolidation appropriation bill to state assembly

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has presented to the State Assembly 2025 budget estimates of over N580 billion with over N480 billion earmarked for capital expenditure and N127 billion for recurrent expenditure for deliberation and passage into law.
The Governor thanked the legislators for speedy passage of bills sent to them by his Government which enabled his Administration perform creditably well in the areas of infrastructure, education, agriculture amongst many other sectors of the economy, hoping they would do same to the budget proposals.
Governor Idris disclosed that the 2025 budget would enable him fulfil his long term wishes of constructing the most desired Dabai-Mahuta-Koko road because of socioeconomic relevance to the people of the state, revealing that N41billion was set aside for the project.
He expressed delight that the federal government had finally handed over the construction of Koko-Dabai-Mahuta road to Kebbi State Government, assuring that very soon the construction would be flagged off.
Gov. Idris recalled that apart from distributing fertilisers free-of-charge to farmers to enhance food security, his administration had also empowered 65,000 persons with N100,000 each to enable them become self reliant.
The governor added that the state was expecting N235,228,160,910:16 as revenue statutory allocation from the federation account and internally generated revenue (IGR) of N25,979,766:80.
Receiving the Budget Proposal, the Deputy Speaker, who presided over the session, Rt. Hon. Sama’ila Muhammad Bagudo, described Governor Nasir Idris as pillar of progress, pledging the readiness of the Assembly to accord speedy passage to the Appropriation Bill.
