Kebbi Information Commissioner receives state-of-the-art equipment for state-own radio

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi has assured the readiness of the Ministry in providing continued service to the people through promoting the policies and programmes of Governor Nasir Idris, besides educating and entertaining them.
The Commissioner stated this on Monday in Birnin Kebbi while receiving state of the art studio equipment procured for the State owned Radio by the Kauran Gwandu led administration to enhance the station’s operations.

Speaking further about the equpment presented to him by the General Manager of Kebbi Radio, Engineer Mahe Mohammed Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner commended Governor Idris for the continuous support to the Ministry and its parastatals in showcasing the good works of his administration.
Speaking earlier, the General Manager said as part of the digitization policies of the federal government of Nigeria the era of manual broadcasting and handling of scripts was over and the provision of the digital equpment came at the right time as the radio station would be among the league of digital broadcasting stations.
Engineer Mahe thanked Governor Nasir Idris for coming to the rescue of the station which was at the brinks of total collapse following perpetual neglects from past administrations since the creation of the state thirty three years a go, saying the Governor’s action was worthy of commendation.
Items procured, according to the General Manager, included high quality Sonny Voice recorders, Hp Laptop Computers, Acer Desktop Computers, audio mixers and Grounding Sate-light digital studio radio receiver as well as local area network.
