Ward congresses have taken off peacefully and orderly across various parts of Kwara State, with thousands of party loyalists, INEC officials, APC representatives from Abuja, lawmakers and government appointees participating.
Reports from various parts of the state show mammoth crowd of party members attending the event with fanfare.
Reports from Adewole Ward where Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq hails from to Alanamu and Ajikobi in Ilorin West to Ifelodun in Kwara South and Kaiama in Kwara North show a rancour-free exercise so far.
The exercise is being presided over by APC officials and closely monitored by INEC representatives in line with the law.
As at the time of filing this report, the exercise has started on an impressive note across many parts of the state, while party loyalists were still awaiting officials in a few other places.
The atmosphere is peaceful and orderly.
