Lawmaker shot in the head

A member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Adedeji, narrowly escaped death early as he was shot in the head by unknown gunmen on his way to Akure, Ondo State capital.
Adedeji, who was initially taken to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado Ekiti, had since been moved to the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti.
The lawmaker of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was one of the legislators that moved for the impeachment the former Speaker, Hon. Kola Oluwawole and replaced with Hon Adeniran Alagbada of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Segun Adewumi, told journalists on Friday that, Adedeji, representing Ekiti
Southwest constituency II was shot in the head.
When called for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, Mr. Caleb Ikechukwu, said the incident has not been brought to his notice.
