Madagali advocates creation of chiefdom, first class chief

The people of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State have pleaded with Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for creation of Chiefdom in Madagali.

They said the creation of the chiefdom is and a first-class monarch is long overdue.

A former Governor Bala James Ngillari made the request during a courtesy visit to the Governor at Government House, Yola and also
and presented a memo to that effect.

Ngillari noted that the decision was a collective one and, if approved, would bring further unity.

Also another stakeholder, Mr. Saleh Kinjir commended the Governor for restoring peace and normalcy in Madagali Local Government Area, affected by Boko Haram sect.

The Chairman Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Alhaji Mohamed Umar, also recognized the governor’s visionary leadership and commended him for elevating the local government sons and daughters with key appointments, infrastructure provision, free education, and scholarships.

Responding, Governor Fintiri lauded the effort of the people of Madagali for the visit and called on them to embrace unity and love for development.

The Governor assured the people of his administration will continue to perform well and urged the people to take ownership of the properties and infrastructural facilities provided by the government.
