Magistrate faints in Cross River State Governor’s office
By Akpan David, Calabar
At least, one magistrate has fainted at the main gate leading to the office of Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade.
He was reported to be exhausted having not eaten since yesterday because of lack of money.
About 30 magistrates in the Cross River State judiciary were at the governor’s office Monday with assorted placards, protesting non-payment of two years salaries.
They returned Tuesday morning in their full regalia in continuation of their protest.
In the course of the protest, one of them whose name was not immediately known collapsed.
After much efforts, his colleagues revived him.
Neither the governor, his deputy nor any government nor any officials are ready to address them.
