Modibbo Adama varsity Pro chancellor urges newly appointed management officers to be standfast, fair to all

The Modibbo Adama University Governing Council Yola has charged the newly appointed management staff to be steadfast, committed and fair to all in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi made the remarks at the institution 102nd meetibg where it approved the appointments of Mustafa Usman Migawa, Registrar, Prof. Zainab Abdullahi, Universisty Librarian and Engr. Umaru Kawu as Director of Works.

A statement signed by the Institution’s Information and Protocol Officer, Aminu Julde Gurumpawo said, the appointments were made after the consideration of the report of a selection board and interview of shortlisted candidates.

The newly appointed Registrar, Mustafa Usman Migawa, a 1992 graduate of Economics from the University of Maiduguri, holds an M.Sc In Economics and an MBA in Finance. He joined the services of the University in 1998 and rose through the ranks to become a Senior Deputy Registrar in charge of Council Affairs.

Prof. Zainab Abdullahi, the University Librarian holds a B.Sc in Library Science from the University of Maiduguri, an M.Sc in Library Science and a Ph.D in Information Science. She joined the University in 2009 as a Graduate Assistant and rose through the ranks to become a Professor.

Prof. Abdullahi has for long served as the Head of Department of Library and Information Science and recently Acting University Librarian.

Engr. Umaru Kawu, the Director of Works is a graduate of Electrical Engineering from Bayero University, Kano and until his appointment was a Deputy Director in the Works Department of the University.
