NATFORCE elects Dr. Mohammed new Director-General, appoints wife of late DG, Lora, deputy DG

The National Taskforce on the Prohibition of Illegal Important/Smuggling of Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism (NATFORCE) has elected His Royal Highness, Dr. Baba Mohammed has its new Director-General.
He defeated Evangelist Martina Farinde with 25 votes to three in an elected conducted in Abuja Saturday.
The election followed the death of its pioneer Director-General, Chief Osita Okereke few weeks ago.
The organization also unanimously appointed widow of the director-general, Lora Okereke as the deputy director-general and will in due course appoint the late DG’s son, Obinna to a national position.
The organization also ordered that all property belonging to the late DG should handed over to the family while those belong to NATFORCE should be returned to the new executive.

It also the body agreed that the DG Special Squad has been disbanded.
Speaking after his election, Dr. Mohammed pointed out that the executive run an all-inclusive administration because it is never knowing-all.
However, he said the running of the organization would be a departure from how it was managed in the past.
Dr. Mohammed noted that the organization would build on the areas the late DG had done well and would right the wrongs on the areas mistake are done.
The DG also applauded the national assembly for passing the Second Reading on NATFORCE bill before it and urged them to finally pass it.
On the way forward, Dr. Mohammed said the executive would further enhance its synergy with the Police, civil defence and other sister organizations.
The son of the late DG formally announced the death of his father, Chief Osita Okereke at the occasion.
