Nigerian Army challenged on competence enhancement

The Nigerian Army has been challenged to continue to enhance their competence and capabilities of all ranks to accomplish their primary responsibility of protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
The Executive Governor Bauchi State Senator Bala Mohammed threw this challenge at the closing ceremony of Corporal and below ranks competition 2022 held recently in Bauchi.
Represented by the Secretary to the state government Barrister Mohammed Kashim, the governor said Bauchi state is the gateway to other North East where the Soldiers have been doing much to counter terrorism and other forms of insecurity.
The Chief host of the event and General Officer commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army Major General Ibrahim Ali urged the trainees to put all they have learnt to work in other to professionally meet their constitutional demand of defending the nation.
33 Artillery Brigade of The Nigerian Army Corps Shadawanka Barracks beat other five Formations that participated in the competition to emerge the overall best.
Parts of activities of the competition includes, drill, weapon handling, map reading, obstacle crossing combat swimming among others.
Highlight of the event was presentation of awards and trophies to deserving individuals and formations, but the formation that performed poorly was handed a wooden spoon to challenge them to do more in subsequent competition
