Nigeria’s development based on collective effort – President Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that Nigeria’s development and growth is based on the collective effort of the citizenry.

He made the disclosure at the unveiling and presentation of the National Lottery Trust Fund, (NLTF) at strategic document to delivering good causes for 2024-2028 in Aso Rock Banguet Hall, on Monday in Abuja.

The President who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume said, “This marks a significant effort by NLTF towards economic and social development of the country through collective effort for the common good of the populace by creating opportunities for our common goods.

“This present administration under the leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu wants to improve the country by lottery. I commend the leadership of NLTF under Mr. Tosin Adeyanju purposeful leadership. I urge lottery stakeholders to join us in the growth and development of the country to greater heights,” President Tinubu said.

In his remark, Vice President Kadhim Shetima who represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia said that, “The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of NLTF, Mr. Tosin Adeyanju and his team knows where he is going to take Nigeria to greater heights considering his achievements in just few months.”

In his speech, the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Zaphaniah Bitrus Jisalo said he assures that his ministry will be transparent towards the growth and development of Nigeria.

In his speech, the Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila said,
“In many parts of the World, including Nigeria, gaming is a major driver of this mission. Through the collection of gaming revenues, we find projects that reach the grassroots, transform lives and impact the healthcare, education, sports and rural development sectors.”

In his speech, DG/CEO of NLTF, Mr. Tosin Adeyanju said the fund was established 20 years ago to deliver good causes to Nigeria and has executed 306 projects and more are in the pipeline.”
