The Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Plateau State has expanded sadness over what it describes as “unabated killings” in the land.

The party in a condolence message, commiserates with the people of Plateau over the unprovoked attacks on innocent people in some parts of the state and said it was unfortunate and unacceptable.

The message signed by its Chairman, Capt. Lamda Venmak Fire (Rtd) stressed that the “Party is saddened by the continuous attacks on unarmed villagers”

According to him,  “It is worrisome the spate of killings in villages in Plateau state.

More worrisome is the fact that the killings seem to be going on unabated. This brings to the questions of WHO IS AGAINST PLATEAU?

WHO IS BENEFITING FROM THESE KILLINGS?

“The patterns of the terror being unleashed on villages in Plateau state is one that makes one to wonder what is really happening to us as a people. And who is doing these to Plateau people?

“There has been attacks on villages in Bassa local government recently. Then most recently is the attacks on some villages in Wase, Kanam and Barkin Ladi local government areas of the state and parts of Bassa still”, he lamented.

He added that “We condemn in totality the act of this blood sucking Marauder’s who don’t value human life but delight in killing innocent people for no justifiable reasons at all.

The ADP on the Plateau wishes to charge the Government to be more proactive in securing the state. Deliberate measures should be taken to protect the lives and properties of the law abiding citizens of Plateau rather than ‘condemning’ the act after people’s lives and properties are loss.

How long can we continue like this?

The government needs to rise to it’s responsibility of providing security for the people before they resort to self help which will not be good in the end as it will lead to act of lawlessness”
