The Plateau State governorship candidate of the Boot Party, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Baruga has said his supporters should not be disturbed by the purported endorsement of a governorship candidate in the state by some section of Islamic groups.
He said the so-called endorsement would not diminish his strength as the popular candidate.
Baruga pointed out that it was absolutely wrong for a religious sect to openly endorse a candidate when they are supposed to be neutral.
In a statement he signed on Friday, the Boot Party governorship candidate noted that his campaign is devoid of religious and ethic sentiments.
According to him, his campaign focus is how he would better the lot of the Plateau people rather than being endorsed by a section of the society.
Baruga urged his teeming supporters not to be distracted but concentrate on voting for him massively on Saturday.
