The Plateau State Printing Press has given assurance that it can handle subsequent local government elections ballot papers printing.
Director of the agency, Bulus Goshit disclosed this during an organised facility tour of projects by the state government in conjunction with media representatives in the state.
According to him, the “Rapido 105” multi coloured printing machine was not only capable of proting ballot papers for elections, but also sensitive materials including currencies.
He added that the present administration completed the payment of the machine which the previous government paid part of.
The director stressed that the value of the machine was about N260m and with the exchange rate now, the value must have risen to an all time high.
He added that the first class machine is a major revenue earner for the state and what is left now, is to train a manpower that would handle the operation.
