Rep. Amos strengthens emergency healthcare at Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia

The Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, in Kaduna State, has received a significant boost in its emergency healthcare capacity with the donation of a brand-new ambulance by Rep. Daniel Amos, who represents Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The ambulance was formally presented during a brief handover ceremony at the university.
A delegation from Rep. Amos’ office, led by his Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Samuel Isah Shamaki, handed over the vehicle and its documents to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Quirix William Barnabas.
Speaking on behalf of the lawmaker, Hon. Shamaki said the gesture reflects Rep. Amos’ strong commitment to education, student welfare, and the creation of a safe learning environment.
He noted that timely access to medical care is essential for any academic institution to function effectively.
He added that the donation aligns with Rep. Amos’ broader vision of promoting human capital development and sustainable educational growth across Southern Kaduna and beyond.
In his response, Prof. Barnabas expressed deep appreciation to the federal lawmaker, describing the donation as both generous and timely.
He said the ambulance would greatly enhance the university’s ability to respond to medical emergencies, ultimately helping to save lives and improve campus safety.
The Vice-Chancellor also praised Rep. Amos for his continued support for education and assured that the ambulance would be properly utilized for the benefit of students, staff, and the entire university community.
The donation further highlights the growing collaboration between the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and Rep. Daniel Amos, reinforcing a shared commitment to educational development, community welfare, and a healthy academic environment.
