Political violence has been one of the persisting problems citizens face during each period of election in Taraba state and nationwide.
Hiring thugs to manipulate election or chaos innocent Nigerians to vote is a sign of weakness, lack of competency, and no regard for democracy. The culture of free and fair elections is gradually becoming a thing of the past in Nigeria. Elections are no longer conducted based on free will but with blood and fear. Innocent citizens can hardly declare their loyalty to candidates of their choice because they may be killed or injured by their opponents.
Governorship candidates who instigate violence out of deep desperation and quest for power are unworthy to lead the people. Taraba state was built in the sweat and blood of past heroes, and it is horrendous to see youths who should advocate for change on the street causing violence in exchange for pittance.
We can no longer deny that the rate at which citizens are coerced to vote out of their will is tantamount to modern slavery. What kind of democracy do we practice if we cannot communicate our interests to others peacefully?
I reiterate that it is sad to see youths, moving around with harmful weapons to attack others that stand against the candidates they support. A clear picture of this is can be traced to a recent picture of a young man in a customized T-shirt for Sen Bwacha, standing at alert with cutlasses at his back to attack any opponent.

It is more surprising that Senator Bwacha had advocated for a transparent election with no ethic and religious sentiment in 2019 when he was the Deputy Senate Minority Leader in Taraba South Senatorial District.
Needless to say, power should not be fought for, it should be earned. It is unimaginable that candidates who promise good infrastructure, better governance, etc if they win the election are the same people sponsoring thugs to kill and waste the properties of opponents.
Deception won’t last long, and neither will desperation do us good. The good people of Taraba with Chief David Sabo Kente the forefront runner and the man who can deliver APC as a team in the next election believe that one of the greatest powers the people have is their freedom of choice.
Chief. David Sabo Kente who’s the man behind the success of APC Southern Taraba development has been a peaceful Ambassador to the party who gives Free enablingly space before the few days coming of Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha who he supposed to be loyal to the party and follow up with line of new comers and make sure he follows all the party rites, pay his dues before even contesting election in the party.
We call on the National Party’s leadership to call for emergency meeting and resolve before the party will go More deep in Crisis.

Taraba Restoration is in good hands will Chief. David Sabo Kente because he deserves The party trust and love.
Our goal is to put Taraba first and nothing less.
