Rumours of Kebbi Governor Idris dumping APC pure imaginations of insane, failed politicians- Shatiman Gwandu

The Managing Director of Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority, Abubakar Malam, Shatiman Gwandu, has described the recent rumours circulating on the pages of social media purporting the decamping of Governor Nasir Idris from APC to an unnamed political party as handiwork of doomed politicians.

He said “Ordinarily one should have waved off the rumours being spread by some political desperadoes but for the laced misinformation and diversionary intent, it becomes imperative to dismiss it as speculative and calculated attempt to divert his attention from the unprecedented developmental strides in the State.

“If not for sheer mischief, how will the Governor backed by the entire political structure in the State, a strong ally and confident of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu contemplate leaving the Party he helped progressively,” the MD remarked.

Shatiman Gwandu reiterated that Kauran Gwandu remained the pillar and political compass working round the clock to take Kebbi State to an enviable position where opportunities for economic growth and sustainable investments would be created.

He noted with pleasure that Governor Idris had under the auspices of the All Progressive Congress executed meaningful developmental projects within 24 months in office, adding that it would be unwise for him to bite the finger that fed him especially that he was standing tall amongst his colleagues in the country.

He further disclosed that President Tinubu considered Governor Idris as a dependable ally in shaping the affairs of the country, citing the construction of a large portion of Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway in Kebbi State as evidence of the harmony existing between the two leaders.

“So let’s continue to pray for God’s guidance, protection, peace and cohesion in our dear State and Nigeria in general and shame the devils”, Shatiman Gwandu concluded.
