Senate President Saraki, Kwara Governor Ahmed quit APC

The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and the Governor of his home state of Kwara, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed have dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr Saraki made his announcement on his official social media handles.
According to Saraki in his Twitter handle “I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
Saraki did not say which party he was going to join.

Announcing his defection on Tuesday evening, minutes after Saraki announced his resignation from the APC, Abdulfatah wrote: “Following due consultations and in response to calls by major stakeholders in the state, I have moved to the PDP because the APC can longer serve as a platform for achieving the aspirations and expectations of my people.”
