Senator Lalong congratulates veteran educationist, Mrs. Wapmuk at 71

A former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong felicitates with veteran educationist and former Commissioner for Secondary Education in Plateau State Mrs. Elizabeth Wapmuk on the occasion of her 71st birthday.
Senator Lalong says he is excited to celebrate with her on marking another birthday in good health, peace and security, describing her as a mother, mentor and teacher per excellence.
This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser (Media) to Senator Lalong.
Lalong says her tremendous achievements and sacrifices over the years deserve commendation particularly in training and moulding many young persons that are doing exploits around the world.
The former Plateau State Governor recollects with deep sense of pride and appreciation, the examplary contributions she made to the Rescue Administration while she held sway as the Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education.
Apart from bringing on board fresh ideas, she leveraged on her deep experience to transform Secondary education in Plateau State thereby enabling students to record excellent performance in national and international examinations.
Senator Lalong also acknowledges her efforts in driving the AGILE programme which his administration secured from the world that that brought in critical funding from the World Bank to revive hundreds of schools across the State, a legacy that is still being enjoyed and implemented years after he left office.
On this occasion, he wishes her many more years of joy and happiness as well as urges her to continue to contribute to the development of education in any way possible.
