Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong and Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission Bishop Stephen Adegbite have met with the contingent from Plateau State at the commencement of the pilgrimage exercise in Amman, Jordan.
While addressing the Pilgrims, NCPC Executive Secretary Bishop Stephen Adegbite congratulated them for having the rear privilege to participate in the exercise which will eventually culminate in Israel.
This was contained in a statement Sunday by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Lalong.
Bishop Adegbite thanked President Bola Tinubu for providing all that the Commission needs to carry out the pilgrimage exercise to the holy land covering Jordan and Israel.
He thanked Senator Lalong for his support to the NCPC both in official and personal capacity which he said has given them a great boast.

He also appreciated Governor Caleb Mutfwang for continuing in the footsteps of his predecessor Senator Simon Bako Lalong by facilitating the participation of the highest number of Pilgrims in the country.
The NCPC boss asked the Pilgrims to use the opportunity and pray for the administration of President Bola Tinubu to succeed in its quest to make Nigeria a peaceful and prosperous country.
He said so far, the Tinubu Administration has taken steps to deal with insecurity and also ensure economic reforms that will engender competition and progress among the states.
In his remarks, Senator Lalong said he was happy about the leadership of Bishop Stephen Adegbite who has come with fresh ideas and integrity at the NCPC to serve the nation by giving Christians a memorable pilgrimage experience.
He acknowledged the inspiration and support of President Tinubu and the National Assembly who continue to do the needful to ensure that the Christian Community in the country practice their faith without any hindrance.
Lalong said the governance style of President Tinubu has greatly assuaged the concerns raised on faith during the electioneering process.
While commending his successor for sustaining the support to pilgrimage, Lalong urged them to pray for him and other leaders in the country to continue to do the best for the people.
He also assured that as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, he will work with his colleagues to ensure that the NCPC Management under Bishop Stephen Adegbite succeeds.
