Following the death of Shaykh Usman Abubakar Baban Tine, Shaykh Ibrahim Nakaka has emerged Kaduna State’s new chairman of the Council of Imams and Ulamas.
Shaykh Baban Tine died on September 10, 2018 at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika, after a brief illness.
A statement Friday, the Secretary General of the council, Malam Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu said, Shaykh Nakaka emerged after series of consultations among its members.
The statement added that Chief Imam of Zaria Low-Cost Mosque, Dr. Muhammad Aliyu is now the 1st Vive Chairman while the Chief Imam of Yahaya Road Mosque and the Acting Chief Imam of Kafanchan Mosque, Shaykh Muhammad Hassan and Malam Muhammad Kabir Qasim are 2nd and 3rd Vice Chairmen respectively.
