The late Agom Adara, Dr Galadima II
The remains paramount ruler of Adara land, Agom Adara, Dr. Maiwada Galadima who was abducted and report of his killing filtered on October 26 will be buried on Saturday November 10, 2018 in Kachia, headquarters of the Adara chiefdom, of Kaduna State.
The National President of Adara Development Association (ADA), Awemi Dio Maisamari who issued a statement on behalf of the Funeral Publicity Committee on Friday called for a peaceful, solemn and dignified funeral befitting the nature and person of the late Agom.
The statement said “In great pain but with full assurance of the eternal goodness of the Father of the weak and Defender of the powerless, the Adara nation wishes to announce the burial programme of HRH Agom Adara III Late Dr. Maiwada Raphael Galadima (JP) who was brutally assassinated on 26/10/18.”
The statement also called on Adara sons and daughters to come out enmass and make the occasion peaceful.
The First Class royal father was abducted along Kaduna – Kachia highway returning from Kaduna after a meeting on Kasuwan Magani crisis under his domain.
His police Orderly and a royal guard were killed before the royal father along with his wife. She was released few days later.
His death was followed by days of uprising in Kaduna leading to imposition of curfew by the state government and heightening of security across the state.
