By El-Yakub Dabai, Birnin Kebbi
The Kebbi State Permanent Secretary in the Department of Donor Agencies, Ahmad Arzika Mungadi has urged civil servants to exhibit high level of loyalty and dedication to the current developmental policies and programs of Governor Idris of taking the State to a new horizon.
The Permanent Secretary who was speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi shortly after assuming office noted that Governor Idris had taken all sectors of the economy simultaneously in his development blue print to achieve even growth across the state.
“The action of the APC-led government is positive to the masses, is sensitive to the masses and responsive to yearnings and aspirations of the masses. We therefore as civil servants must work together with the government leadership to achieve desired objectives”. He remarked
Mungadi further stressed by saying “We in the civil service have a lot to do to help this government. Government needs a very strong, robust and qualified workforce to be able to continue providing maximum dividends of democracy to the people. Unorganized, unqualified and uncorrelated workforce does not suit this government”.
Talking about the political development in the state,he said it was obvious the good works of Governor Idris had fizzled out the opposition parties in the state, forcing massive decamping from other political parties into All Progressive Congress on daily bases.
“Progress is being made visibly. So doing justice to government that protects the rights of its citizens, as followers, they paid back by joining its party. The government that embraces dialogue in all situations and judiciously spends public funds must be supported”, he emphasized.
Mungadi noted that though he was not a politician he would drum for support from people of the state to vote into office APC candidates in the forthcoming local government polls billed for the 31st of this month to maintain continuity in governance.
