Nigeria’s International football star, Daniel Amokachi has disclosed that the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would fully support grassroots sports development.
He made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy call on Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in his office in Abuja.

According to him, “I am seeking for your support to organise a national youth football championship in support of the presidential election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima before the general elections.
“As former Governor of Nasarawa State and a sports developer, especially how you transformed Nasarawa United Football Club from a backward club to a top contender amongst the elite football teams in Nigeria.
“It is important to be ones brother’s keeper, great men have been known for developing others, that is what makes Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a unique person.
“I identify with him and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima Mustapha because of how they developed youths and sports when they were executive governors of Lagos and Borno states respectively despite youths restiveness then.” He said.
Daniel Amokachi called on the people, especially the youth, sports players, administrators and enthusiasts to support, campaign and vote for Tinubu/Shettima at the general elections in February.
In his response, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura said that the support by Daniel Amokaci of Asiwaju/Shettima team is good for the continuing development of youth and sports in the country.
“You shouldn’t relent in sensitizing youth to avoid breaking the law, embrace sports and other development trends to support and vote for Asiwaju and APC for they to enjoy more dividend of democracy,” said Al-Makura.
